It was supposed to be a one time thing,

that tree,

just a place where she could escape.

But soon, 

she longed for it.

No matter whether it was a peaceful time or a time of war.

She just wanted to be there,

underneath that willow tree,

watching the pond ripple in the wind.

At peace, 

in her special place.
