You make such good points. I loved reading your post. It sounded like a rant, which made it more amusing. (It probably was a rant).

I find it so ridiculous how big phones are. Bigger is not better. But society keeps buying the products so they assume, bigger is better.

Not only that, but I hate touch screens. I need tactile feedback when I'm doing stuff. Every time I have to use a touch screen I cry inside. I honestly, don't care if touch screens are more efficient. They are not efficient to me. No feedback. More mistakes.

about your query related to tactile feedback, blackberry had first introduced it in their mobile blackberry storm, but it wasn't well received. Now recently in 2013, a company called tactus displayed this technology, where buttons would pop out giving a 3d like display and tactile feedback. I don't know what happened after that, but you can search for it, like 'haptic feedback' 'nano coating display' etc.

No oled is a different thing. It is a display technology. This is a touch screen technology

I do agree with your point of view. Many so called advanced smart phone features are actually quite redundant. Thanks for bringing up a brief history of Android and the Kindle paper white:)
