Ok Kai's sort of growing on me as a character.

I'll inevitably hate him when he starts contributing to the grooming of children but at least I can enjoy this while it lasts.

@Mira, Its what happens. You get a young man or woman who is confused and mentally ill. Then you get a community that grooms and brainwashes them into thinking they need to change to feel normal. Through stuff like hormones and surgery.

Then in the end they don't feel like themselves and are more miserable.

Which is why suicidality is highest in people AFTER transition.

Same reason why suicidality increases in soldiers and veterans after being horrifically deformed in battle.

Ruining your body takes a toll on you mentally.
