I'm probably popping up stupidly late but I'm gonna say something brutally honest. This is the best piece of writing I've come across so far. Looking at the story tags, I did not want to read it at first but decided to give it a try anyway and boy, am I glad that I did.
Being a very random and occasional reader, a story has to be very captivating (in the sense, one should be able to form a mental movie out of the words) for me to continue reading and this has gotten me chained to my chair!

I liked the last sentence..it showed Emma’s innocence as a child very subtly!
