Lord... kiddos will make trouble for themselves no matter the era. Did it matter what pronouns she used to call her? As long as she gives you the common courtesy respect it shouldn't matter. I've been called 'sir' more times than I dare count all my life (I'm a happy tom-boy).

 It is scary though when things start getting out of hand. I think during teenage years we tend to be desensitized to the real danger of our actions, it's all fun and games until you're the one getting hurt and everyone else is laughing. Maybe its just us trying to find ourselves and not agreeing with the world as we know it. Don't let the regret of your inaction eat away at you though. Now you know for next time.
