I can see how that would be an awkward/uncomfortable situation; makes you feel like you just got undervalued compared to everyone else. And trying to be super enthusiastic with a gift is hard (even if you really like a gift, sometimes that doesn’t translate to your face)

Also… I’m sorry but your family sounds fairly toxic, with people trying to tick others off and tear each other apart but… also not tear each other apart? You shouldn’t have to be in the middle of all of that, because you don’t deserve it.
