Okay, so in the previous chapter, by brother, Hades most probably meant that in like, brothers-in-arms sort of thing, and not like an actual brother of God-like. I thought I got that right when I read the beginning of this chapter. But then, further on, it was revealed that Ben was a God. But Cerberus was a mortal warrior, right? So, unless I've been missing some information or completely misunderstood some things, I think I'm a bit lost here.
And I aww-ed when Ben was like, there's something that's been pulling him back here, to Fay. It melts my heart :')
I feel like with all the information she found out about Ben, Amon, and Cerberus, Fay would have at least a little bit of hint or sense of what she is to Andromeda and the link between them all, right? Or maybe there's more to this than that. Either way, when you described how Andromeda was waiting at the castle on the hill with her army, I was like, okay the time for the battle is about to get on. But her reaction, though, of how she was so immersed with Ben. I wonder if it's because she saw Amon or Cerberus in him, or if there's more to Ben that I don't know yet.
Hmm, as usual, excellent chapters that kept me exclaiming and feeling various emotions :)
So Cerberus was more an immortal hellhound, which was how everyone knew him as, not what he actually was. You learn more on this later. In this first war that Zeus had with his father etc Cerberus began to have conflicted loyalties. He wanted the war to end but became torn with Zeus and Hades. In time he came to return to Hades but at this time he'd already met Andromeda and fallen for her.
Obviously Andromeda was betrayed and she splintered her soul to escape. It's been hinted that to cover 3verything up Cerberus was punished by Hades.
What is the focus with these characters is that they're not all good and hero like. At the end of the day a lot of them are deities, with all the ego and power etc to match.
