I am going to try to get this right. In Ray's dream, you were portraying to sides of Ray's personality. I could see two dueling sides of Ray that we have seen in the past fighting one another and finally at the end of the dream, Ray has a final reconciliation of the two sides of him that split day he lost his memory from the traumatic experience. Did I get it right? And then, I am glad to see his cheeky self made it intact.
You are the first to notice Ray’s struggle in this chapter. The true purpose of the last two chapters was to show that Ray is actually quite vunerable despite despite his tough exterior. When he lost his memory he was quite frail not just physically but mentally too. When he recovered he decided that being sacred or sad made him weak and he did everything he could to hide the Ray that wished to back to when he had memories. Meeting Azaliea in this dream made him accept the negative feelings and use them to become stronger.
