RPG之門 - [WoD] World of Darkness 暗黑世界介紹

World of Darkness （WoD）是由White Wolf Publishing所開發的一系列桌上角色扮演遊戲。這些遊戲分享一個共同的世界觀，表面上和人類現時身處的世界完全一樣，但吸血鬼、人狼等等超現實生物卻確實存在，這個以哥特朋克為主題的世界，稱之為暗黑世界。

有別於其他大熱的TRPG，暗黑世界系列採用的遊戲規則名為敘事系統（Storytelling System），遊戲主持人則被稱為敘事者(Storyteller)。顧名思義，這套遊戲的重點在於故事鋪陳和深度角色扮演，在不同系列中，玩家分別可以扮演吸血鬼、人狼等等黑暗神秘生物，享受由強大力量帶來的罪與愧疚，還需面對人類世界和同族社會中帶來的衡突和掙扎。

暗黑世界最初於1991年出版，並以五款遊戲Vampire: the Masquerade、Werewolf: the Apolcalypse、Mage: the Ascension、Wraith: the Oblivion和Changeling: the Dreaming為基礎，並發展出更多分支。隨後在2004年系列迎來結束和重啟，並推出了一系列《黑暗編年史》（Chronicle of Darkness, CofD, 或稱新暗黑世界 nWoD）之下的遊戲，及至2011年舊世界重新回歸，並以兩者並行的方式持續發展。
