It’s a bright sunny day in the town of Velantriff. Velantriff is a town that is surrounded by trees, and it doesn’t have very good infrastructure. The town has many stone brick buildings. Today in Velantriff is market day, where all goods are half off of the normal price. Many people are there, getting stuff for their families or for themselves. A popular item to get is food, as it is scarce in this town.
A woman is walking down the market alley, passing by other people. She is wearing a cloak over her, not showing her face. She walks over to a vendor.
“Hey!” The vendor greeted the woman. “You want some bread?” The vendor stood there waiting for the woman to respond. “Hello! Are you there?”
“Yes, just looking at your selection.” The woman responded.
“Well there’s not a lot of choice to be made here. Just pick one of the pieces of bread,”
The woman looked up at the vendor.
“Is the reason you’re stalling is because you don’t have any money?” The vendor leaned in close to the woman’s face. “You can do a little something something to me, if you can catch my drift.”
The vendor leaned in very close to the woman’s face. The woman grabbed the vendor’s face and slammed it on the table and steals a piece of bread.
“Get her! She’s a thief!” The vendor yelled. The woman began to run really fast. She ran faster than any normal human can. This woman is named Yunga Elantra, the love child of the two main leaders of the Elantra Pirates, the most infamous crew of pirates there is. Unfortunately for Yunga, they died twenty years ago when she was five years old. She’s been on her own ever since, stealing things just to get by, and that vendor was one of hundreds of people getting robbed by her alone.
Yunga continues to run very quickly down an alley as a platoon of guards try to stop her and she runs by them. Another thing about Yunga is that she has a very strange power. She can move very fast, not just running fast but any movement was so unnaturally fast. She moved like a bullet being fired out of a gun.
A bell rings out from the bell tower in the middle of the town, as a guard makes an announcement around town to be on watch for Yunga. Yunga hears the announcement and takes her cloak off to blend in with the rest of the civilians. She has long green hair, light blue eyes and is 5”8. Yunga runs by many guards trying to stop her, running through streets and alleyways. She is now very close to the front gates of the town.
“Get ready to shoot, she's coming!” A guard yelled at the other ten guards around the front gate, while he was standing on top of the front gate. The guards readied their rifles and aimed it at Yunga who is running right towards them.
“Alright!” The guard yelled, raising his hand into the air. “Fire!”
The guards pull the trigger on their rifles and fire at Yunga, but Yunga has moved so fast that she has stolen one of the guards rifles.
“What!?” The guard who got his rifle stolen said.
Yunga is behind the guard she stole the gun from and shoots him in the back. The guard falls over onto the ground and Yunga moves over to another guard and shoots him.
“Just start fucking shooting!” The guard on top of the front gate said.
Every guard just starts shooting at Yunga but she keeps dodging their bullets. While she is dodging the bullets she is also shooting at the guards taking them down one by one. She keeps doing this until the guy on top is the only guard left.
“Oh my god! Is this girl even human!?” The guard yelled.
Yunga reloaded her gun, aimed at the guard on top of the front gate and shoots him. He falls off the front gate and lands on the ground. Yunga stood there for a little while standing over the bodies of the guards as onlookers watched.
She took the bread she stole and took a big ol’ bite out of it. Immediately, she spits it out onto the ground and almost throws up.
“Were people actually buying this shit!?” Yunga said, still in disgust of the taste. “No wonder he was desperate to sell this. He can’t even make bread right!”
She looked up at the onlookers and throws the bread into the crowd.
“You guys can have it! Wasn’t worth getting in trouble like this.”
The front gate suddenly opens and the king of this town and his escort enter the town right in front of Yunga. The king’s name is Drinter Velantriff. He is a huge man Purk. Purk is a race that has the skin color of gray and are known for their species having their males being 7”0, their average height.
“Who has done this to my people?” Drinter said in a very deep voice, a voice that commands any room he is in. Drinter is wearing heavy armor covering every single piece of his body, even his face. Even without the facial obstruction, Yunga can still feel him staring into her soul and piercing it.
“I honestly don’t know sir.” Yunga responded. “I was just checking out the damage left behind.”
Dinter could see right through Yunga’s lie, not by just guessing. But by everyone looking directly at her, and the rifle she is holding in her hand.
“It was her!” An onlooker yelled. “She killed those men over a piece of bre-AH!”
The onlooker couldn’t finish his sentence as Yunga shot him and he fell over. The crowd disperse in a panic quickly running away until there is only Drinter, his guards, and Yunga in the front gate entrance.
“Welp” Yunga shrugged. “Guess the act is up!”
“Kill her!” Drinter commanded. The fifty guards around Drinter all fire at Yunga, and just like before she dodges all of the bullets and is shooting at the guards. This time, the guards are heavily armored and the bullets just don’t affect them.
“Shit! I’m not gonna do anything but wear myself out if I keep this up!” Yunga thought to herself as she was bouncing around.
Drinter unleashes his sword from its sheath and raises it up to the sky. Drinter then swings down his sword onto Yunga, but she dodges the attack.
“Where’d she go!?” One of the escort guards asked.
“YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” Yunga screamed from above Drinter. She was attacking Drinter from above and was trying to shoot a weak spot in the armor. Yunga goes to pull the trigger on the rifle. But she can’t do that as Drinter swings his sword and hits Yunga in the leg.
Yunga goes flying into a building and lands on the ground with her back laying against the wall she was thrown into by Drinter’s blow.
“NO! How was he able to move that sword so fast!” Yunga thought, as she looked down at her injured leg. It wasn’t cut off surprisingly, but it was critically injured. Yunga tried to get up but she couldn’t, not with her leg in that condition.
“I’m not going down like this!” Yunga said internally. “Is this where the Elantra legacy dies? With just one swing!? Never!”
Yunga looked up at the guards coming over to her.
“Just gotta get up and run away!”
The guards are now coming closer.
“Need to get away!”
The guards are now really close to her.
“NO!”
