OK, the first entry did not disappoint at all. I love this story and your writing style! The opening drew me in, and my interest stayed until the very end. The only feedback is some mild grammar errors. Literally, that’s it. Some sentences need commas (especially in dialogue). But the story itself is amazingly written, so thank you for entering!

Oh wow! That story was very interesting. I love the repeated use of the phrase; it gives a lot of effect. You certainly did amazing with the prompt. However, it would’ve been easier to read if you separated your sentences into paragraphs. Stick with one idea in one paragraph, then make a new paragraph for the next. Just know, either way, I enjoyed it a lot. Might even be eerie enough for Halloween!

I totally understand when you said you weren’t in the mood for writing a story then. I love how you still managed to come up with not one, but TWO amazing poems! And you got a chuckle out of me at the last line of Poem #2, haha. Poem #1 is simple, but I love it! The last three lines were my favorite!
By the way, I haven't mentioned anything about putting two poems in one entry in the rules. Maybe it would’ve been better to separate them as different entries, despite the short word count. Still, I won't deduct points for that ^^

Oh my gosh…the ending. This is so creative and emotional and I can’t get enough of it! I hope you don’t mind a bit of feedback though.
Some of the semicolons were placed incorrectly. One example from the story: “It was dark and quiet; perfect to stay clear and keep my head down with a toddler in tow.” Make sure both sides of the semicolon are independent clauses. I think a comma works better in a lot of the semicolons you’ve placed. No worries though. I often get confused with em dashes.

I get what you are saying! I mean, nobody’s perfect. But if someone saw you with love in their eyes even when you’re not wearing makeup, even when you’re broken down and not wearing your smiles, they love the real you. And that person would want to get to know that side of you because your beauty hasn’t changed to them. Thanks for sharing!
By the way, you reminded me of this quote: "I saw that you were perfect, and so I loved you. Then I saw that you were not perfect and I loved you even more."

Oh wow! This was really good! I could see this story as an introduction to a novel. I am obsessed with this line here: "Rather, you have to tuck them away inside and allow them to build up in your chest even when you feel like you're about to burst.” I really enjoyed reading this!
