The boy moaned as Jake dragged him towards the abandoned side of the school's building and into the abandoned ritual room. The wallpaper was black and covered in soot and layers of dust collected over the years.
'From the information I got from this school, the fire broke out in this room,' Jake thought roughly dropping the battered-up student in the middle of the faded pentagon on the floor. 'It was rumored that some students were trying to summon a demon in this room but the ritual failed.'
The red candles illuminating the dark room reminded him of one of the assassins from Scorpion who was obsessed with the occult and saw his victims as 'works of art' instead of targets. What made him infamous was the way he left his victims; bloodied and decorated with pentagons honoring whatever he was worshiping. Jake hated him because the police always knew it was him thanks to his sloppy work and he would go insane on anyone who chastised him for his actions.
Jake recalled this as he picked up the ritual knife. His victim's eyes widened in horror when he saw his reflection on the crooked blade and he squirmed when he was grabbed by the throat.
"What did I tell you?" Jake placed the blade close to the boy's neck and glared. "I told you not to talk to her didn't I?"
His victim's body shivered as he recalled the warning Jake gave the boys in the library when they were spying on Emma studying and plotting to steal a manga she was reading. He wanted to know where his friends were but a grip on his throat prevented him from speaking. Jake released him and with a quick swipe of his knife across his victim's neck, blood sprayed across the pentagram his body collapsed on the dirty, burnt carpet where the pentagon was engraved in.

School's over... Summer has started...
And I am watching you work yourself to death in this disgusting diner. I know the reason why you are working; you want to earn enough money to apply to the school of your choice.
I always wondered why you bother yourself with trivial things like this Beloved. You don't need to work so hard and you don't need to go to school or earn a career either because I am going to take care of you forever but here you are, working, enduring the private eyes of strangers and trying to befriend your co-workers who don't really like you. I can see the envy in their eyes and nothing thrills me more than to plug them out and crush them.
A lot of things have changed since the holiday began and I am excited to tell you about it. The ritual actually worked and when I stepped into the portal, I braced myself for something terrifying but it was the complete opposite; a black void containing four demons standing in a circle. One of them as a flirtatious succubus, the other was a sickly looking demon who kept muttering something about getting revenge and looked like a human being with a ball of fire on his head and it was releasing fire from his hands. It looked amazing but I wasn't interested in them. Fire magic is too basic.
The last demon looked like a girl with dark grey "hair", pearly white teeth, and red spider-like eyes wearing our school uniform that was grey in colour. It knew why I was here and it told me you were because someone on the other side fought for your destiny with only one wish: for you to have a happy ending. The problem is that this person indirectly made things worse by blessing you with untapped power that attracts mortals, demons and Snakes disguised as friends but she said you were wise. Wise enough to endure and overcome everything but foolish enough to let yourself be overwhelmed.
Who does she think she is calling you foolish? She doesn't know you like I do Beloved but you are delicate. Too delicate to be handled by strangers who don't know you. Anyway, it told me to seek out the Death Demon that was released into the mortal world and use him to guide me to our future and told me how to find him. He was hard but when I did find him, he taught me how to tap into my Spirit Power and how to use it to my advantage. It was similar to the physical law of 'Conversion of Energy' which states 'that matter can neither be created nor destroyed but can be converted from one form to another'. This rule also applies to spirit power because its not created because it's already inside us and it can't be destroyed even when we die but it can be converted from one form to another almost immediately.
I tapped into my Spirit Power and realized it's a Dark Element which is a good thing It fits with my personality. I hope you don't mind that Beloved. 'I wish I had learned about this sooner because I have been an assassin for years and I have a lot of experience under my belt.' a disappointed sight escaped from his lips and he looked down at his dairy entry. Closing the book, he put it in his back and took out another one which held detailed instructions on the Spirit Power and the two main ways how to enhance it. Studying it again, a sadistic smile appeared on his lips and he scribbled on the book. The bright summer afternoon slowly transformed into a dark evening and once it was 8:00P.M, he walked out of the diner, hid inside a dark alleyway, and waited until he heard her loudly say her goodbyes and walk past him. When his eyes met her disappearing figure, he could feel the power surge through him, sending an excited chill up his spine. I noticed Wednesdays and Fridays are the only days in the week you aren't at work so you spend most of the days either grocery shopping at Mr. Ying's convenience store, fashion designing at home, going to karaoke club downtown in the evenings with your friends, reading in the Public library in the middle of the town, practicing your martial arts in your room, trying our tasty recipes in your kitchen, dreaming about tasty treats while gazing at the ceiling in your futon, riding a rented bicycle around town, looking out for any activities this shady town has to offer or reading manga in your safe haven; an old manga store near the East Side of Town run by a forty-six-year-old man.
You are really keeping yourself busy during the summer which is frustrating because we can't hang out like we did before. Emma noticed the change of pitch in his voice and the way he looked away. This only increased her suspicions but she decided not to talk about.
"Why do you read that manga genre?" he asked turning to face her with a fake smile on his face. "Teenagers like you shouldn't be reading that. Its too graphic."
'You barely know what you sell. How would you know that she is bingng is graphic?' Jake growled inside him.
Emma shrugged with a smile. "I know teenagers like me should be binging highschool romance or magical girls but stories like that are filled with cliches." she explained and looked at the manga's front cover decorated with the pictures of cherry blossoms and its bold writing engraved on it. "I can tell where the story is by just looking at it. Genre's like these tell stories that makes you question the narrative and the character's psyche or decisions without you finding them annoying. He gritted his teeth at his incompetence and sighed deeply.
'At least he got you angry and you realised something was wrong with him. I have to get rid of him but the only problem is how to do it without anyone accusing you of wrong doing?'
He dropped his pen and tightened his jaw in hidden frustration. 'Maybe I can make it look like he took his own life by poisoning him or strangling him to death but that would only make things worse for you! Or I should just make him disappear or torture him into leaving you alone.'
He chuckled at the thought, leaned back and looked at the ceiling with a smile on his face. "There are so many ways to get rid of a pervert."

The time was 8:30 AM, and Jokichi Aishi was rearranging the manga on the shelf when he thought about the last conversation he had with Emma.

This made him take out the pack of cigarettes from his pocket and light a stick. Blowing smoke in the air, he thought long and hard about how his life had taken a turn for the worst.
Born an orphan and raised by his aunt, Jokichi vowed to build a life of comfort for himself, but that changed in high school due to his lonely lifestyle. After a year of watching students transition from friends to lovers, he longed to be with someone and was on the prowl for Ms. Right. Fortunately, his dashing looks and charisma are enough to win over almost any girl, but if she approaches him, something seems to happen that makes her disappear from his life.

Jokichi's eyes widened and he dipped his hand into his pocket to retreive his phone, but a strong hand grabbed his wrists.

Tears flowing down his face, Jokichi stammered, "Y...you won't?"
"Nope but..." he leaned closer and whispered the warning into his ears. "Interact with her again, and I won't hesitate to tell the police do you understand me?"
Jokichi gulped and wiped the tears from his eyes. "B...but I swear that..."
"I wonder what your wife would think if she discovered are a man who lusts over well-endowed girls like her." Jake's smirk grew wider. "She'd be so angry."
Jokichi's tearfilled eyes widened in fear. "No! Don't tell my wife! Please,"
"Okay. I'll tell the police,"
"Don't do that! I am innocent!" Jokichi screamed.
"And you expect me to believe that?" Jake replied revealing in the scene he created but disgusted at the sight of the crying old man. He stood up and stared at him with eyes half-lidded and his lips parted in a breathless chuckle. "I'll be seeing myself out Mr. Aishi but don't forget our little discussion."
Jokichi didn't respond as he continued to wallow in shock and defeat because that wasn't his intention at all. Unfortunately for him, things only got worse when he heard the word in a familiar sweet voice; "Darling?"
