“Why must these powers bring me sorrow” i complained while grabbing my plate of chicken off the island, “i mean im so sad, not being able to touch people ya know” i said while stuffing my face with my warm crispy chicken “mhm” my girlfriend nodded while stuffing her own face with chicken, anyways my name is Morgan and i was born with fatal touch, well not born with it its developed around the time i was 5 when plants would wilt with my touch, i picked up my purple coffin shaped purse and my telescope and gestured out the door “ready for our date, Jade?” ,I called out in the general direction of the kitchen “yup as ready as i could ever be” Jade exclaimed and she leaned over to give me a quick kiss on the cheek, we headed out the door it was dark out, and the trees were swaying in the wind, i saw grey clouds in the distance we walked into the forest, passed the mahogany trees that were common in this area, we arrived at the clearing and set out the telescope and started gazing into it.
(an hour later)
we had stopped using the telescope and instead decided to spot constellations i wrapped my arm around my girlfriend… i wrapped my arm around my girlfriend! I looked to my side she was…. Dead, tears ran down my solemn face, i felt such a pain that words nor emotions could ever express, i felt the emptiness settle in my bones and soul, i was supposed to be with her till death took us from this cruel, mortal world, i sighed and looked to the stars, my girlfriends phone had gotten a text “hey honey when will you break up with Morgan” it was from another girl “Ava?” was she cheating? i wish i could undo everything and start anew, i touched myself and while tears flowed down my face like rivers i uttered with my final breath “why must my powers bring me sorrows” .
