“John, for the last time, take a bath! You smell like cow dung!” His mother cried out loud, trying to get her son to pry his eyes of the television for at least a good ten minutes to take the long overdue shower.
“Mankind created deodorant and cologne for a reason. I’ll just use those wonderful inventions.” He shouted back and hastily whipped out the necessary aerosols and made a quick spray during the cut scene of his game.
“No, no, no. You’re 18 and should be responsible enough to bathe yourself, but if you’re unwilling to, it is my duty as a mother, no matter how embarrassing it may sound, to keep my child hygienic and clean, even if that means bathing him myself. I am giving you one last chance to come down and take a shower before I drag you down myself.” She could then hear his footsteps few seconds later. He was grumbling to himself and as he entered the shower, he slammed the door behind him, showing his contempt.
“C’mon, don’t behave like I forced you to down a bucket of worms. I know you hate parents nagging at you, I’ve been there, but please understand that you are 16 and if you don’t learn responsibility now, then it’ll be too late later on in life.” She poured herself a cup of water, unsure if any of this was actually getting through to him or she was just wasting her saliva.
“I don’t know if you ate a bucket of worms, but you don’t know or me or understand me so let me do what I want to do.” He shouted back as he turned on the shower. He waited for an angry reply, or a furious answer, but nothing came. The only thing he could hear is the sound of water diving to the toilet floor.
“Mum? I was just kidding. You don’t have to give me the silent treatment,” his voice was shaky, this has never happened before, even when was extremely mad. Silence.
“Mum? C’mon now, you never do this, just shout at me already.” He gave a fake laugh, wishing that she would respond. Silence.
“Mum! This isn’t funny anymore!” He shouted. Silence.
John immediately burst out of the bathroom, knowing that something must be wrong. How right he was, his mother was sprawled on the floor with a little stream of blood dripping out of her mouth. John started panicking, he ran outside and yelled for help.
“Please! Someone help! My daddy won’t wake up!” a little girl could be heard crying from across the road. John immediately ran towards her. She couldn’t be any older than 6 and was wearing a small flower-design dress. Her huge beady eyes were welled up with tears, John knew that he had to help, he couldn’t leave this poor girl alone.
“Let me see your daddy, maybe I can help.” John didn’t really lie because he is currently studying medicine. The little girl led him to the kitchen where her father was on the floor, displaying the same symptoms of John’s mother.
“Hello? Anyone here? I need help!” A voice could be heard from outside. John needed to get to the bottom of this, he ran outside and found another teenager, who looked just about his age wandering the streets.589Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡnBqI3GlNFo
