I awake. It is late I think and the sky outside between my blinds is dark night. There are no stars outside. I must have forgotten to close them. I sit up and out of my door, notice that I left the hall light on. How did I get from here into bed? I enter into the living room and continue trying to piece together the how of how I got here. The coffee table is further up against the wall than it usually is. It is pressing into the couch, which is stained from the meal last night. The table is also stained with the meal, but this is common for me. I open the tap in the kitchen to get some water, but none comes. The sink makes a strained noise. Then I notice that all of the wall sockets are cracked and bent out of the wall. I try to open the cabinet beneath the sink to take out some food to eat, but it will not come, the wall beside it seems to push into it so tight as to hinder all movement whatsoever. I sit up and out of my door, it scratches against the floor and requires strength from my forearms to fully open. The hall is dark, and I cannot see the lights on the ceiling. It is very dark. I look for the switch but am left empty. How did I get from here into bed? I enter into the living room and continue trying to piece together the how of how I got here. The coffee table is almost vertical against the wall, further from where it usually is. I cannot see the couch. The table is stained from the meal last night, this is common for me. I try to open the tap in the sink to get some water but cannot find it. I hear a strained noise from underneath. Then I notice that I cannot see any of the wall sockets which are usually in the wall. I try to open the cabinet beneath the sink to take out some food to eat but cannot find the handle. I notice how the wall beside it is eating into the cabinet almost. I push out of bed and onto the floor. I try to open the door, but cannot find the handle, begin burying elbows and fists into it to break through, it doesn’t budge. I crawl around the dark floor. I find what I am looking for and fire at the door. I puncture some holes and kick until it is big enough to crawl through. The hall is dark, and I cannot see the ceiling. It is very dark. I look for the switch, but the wall seems impossibly close. I am left empty. How did I get from here into bed? I try to enter the living room but the hall to there is impossibly close. I must squeeze myself in to the crack and through, splinters of wood and plaster snapping off. I feel dust on my clothes from the tight squeeze. I continue trying to piece together the how of how I am still here. There is no coffee table. There is no meal from last night. I cannot see the couch. There are no stains left behind. There is no light. This is common for me. I cannot find the sink to get out some water to drink. I cannot find the cabinet to get out some food to eat. The walls are eating into me. I try to sit down but I am already sitting down. There is no table. I must have forgotten it. I feel faint from this unfamiliarity and stand up. I hit my head off the ceiling.
