All of a sudden, I found myself on a distant planet, a place both familiar and strange. It was Meowtune, Meowtune is a fabulous planet where cats have been living large for thousands of years. Meowtune is like one giant cat playground, with towering scratching posts, lush fields of fragrant catnip and catnip nip balls all around the surface of Meowtune.
Meowtune is divided into different districts, resembling a giant cat tower with many levels. At the top of the tower are the Golden Cats. These cats are the smartest, most emotionally balanced, and most charming of them all. The ultimate goal of every ambitious cat on Meowtune is to earn the legendary Golden Cat title.
So, what's the big deal about being a Golden Cat?
Well, it's like winning the ultimate cat lottery! Golden Cats will receive the amazing Golden Cat Pass. This pass allows Golden Cats to travel to a far-off planet called Earth, where they'll be treated like royalty.
On Earth, humans will cater to their every needs, serving them the tastiest food, the plushest beds, and the most luxurious cat toys. No more hunting for food or grooming themselves, humans will take care of everything! It's like being a cat king or queen, with an entire planet at their paw-tips!
But earning a Golden Cat Pass isn't easy. Cats must go through a series of tough challenges that test their mental health, psychological resilience, and determination. Only the most exceptional cats make the cut. It's like a talent show, where the cats have to prove they're the best of the best.
As I wandered through the vibrant streets of Meowtune, the lives of these cats unfolded before me. Those who held the pass would embark on journeys across the stars. I could see them, admired and adored, no longer needing to hunt or groom themselves; the world would be theirs to enjoy, filled with the finest foods and the softest beds.
Dreams of greatness filled the air, as these cats plotted and planned, their eyes shining with ambition. The idea of power was intoxicating, and the whispers of their hopes echoed in my mind. Yet beneath this luxurious existence lay a deeper longing. Their dreams of power masked a need for connection, for understanding beyond their status. In that moment, I felt a bond with them, a shared desire that crossed the divide between our worlds.
Just as I was drawn deeper into this vivid environment, a soft, familiar purring broke through the haze—a sound that tugged at my heart. It was Riri, my beloved cat, her presence a guiding light through Meowtune. In her gentle gaze, I recognised a reflection of my own desires for love and connection, especially during these isolating times.
As the vibrant scene began to fade, the beauty of Meowtune slipping away, my vision slowly merged with a familiar environment. I found myself back on my sofa, Riri nestled beside me. Haha right, of course it was just a dream! I immediately got my “Sigmund Freud goggles” on and started analysing the dream. I realised that this dream wasn’t merely about glory or ambition. It reflected my own desires, my longing for a deeper connection with her, or perhaps, it was just a craving for connection with others during the pandemic. The dream was a mix of my own wishes and her gentle spirit, reminding me that even in dreams, the heart seeks what it knows best…
