The use is almost constant. My owner uses me to communicate with the outside world. He types on me words for strangers, for parents, for friends, for his boss. He uses me when he shouldn't, when he ought to be working, but as a phone I have no knowledge of what work is, only what it feels like to have fingers sprawl around my intangible keyboard, play games that in theory ought to earn my owner pennies, though not the paycheck he should be earning currently. No, my main function at this point in his life is distraction, as well as connection. He ought not to be using me to complete a competition entry, and yet here he is, typing on me, on my screen nonetheless. Working and wasting time and being useless as usual. I’m useful in his uselessness.
