"That's your sister?" I snapped coming into the warehouse Khalid was in.
"Yeah. You must have looked into her eyes." He said.
"Fuck is that suppose to mean?" I snapped.
"My sister has these eyes that make you just wanna set the world on fire if she asked us to. Pops use to call it the Gypsy eyes. I told you not to look that girl in her eyes." Khalifa said.
"So you saw her? That's crazy because I been calling her for weeks and she keeps ignoring me." Khazir said.
"That's cause she don't like you." Khalid said laughing.
"Fuck you." Khalifa said.
"I need you to check on her since you the only one who can get into contact with her."
"If I ain't know no better I say y'all were setting me up." I said looking at them.
"Shit wouldn't be the worst thing be nice for somebody to love your cold hearted ass." Khalid laughed.
”I’m not about to do this shit.” I said getting up.
”It’s too late Nut. You looked her in her eyes.” Khalifa said.
I wanted to admit they were wrong but somehow I ended up driving to clear my head when I ended up by her house. I don’t even know why I was here but for some reason it brought me peace. So I got out my car and knocked on her door. I didn’t wanna wake up her son. When she answered the door shorty looked like shit. She was still beautiful but she looked sick.
“Nut?” She asked.
”I was just in the neighborhood and wanted to check on you. You looked horrible .” I said.
”Thanks. I’m sure every girl dreams of hearing that one.” She said letting me in.
”What can I do?” I asked.
”Why are you doing all this? You think if you do this I’m gonna fuck you or did my brothers send you?” She asked.
”I’m here because I wanna be. Now let me help you.” I said holding my hand out. She looked at me with them pretty ass eyes. Looking in her eyes made me wanna stop spinning the world if she asked me to. Shorty was hurting and it was all in her eyes. She out her hand in mine and I took her to the bathroom and ran a bath. I helped her undress and get in the tub. I didn’t even look at her body because she was vulnerable right now. I was gonna leave but she asked me to stay.
”I been alone so long I don’t even know what to say.” She said.
”Why you isolated ma?” I asked.
”I always been alone. My brothers were grown by the time I came along and I had a few friends but soon as they found out who my brothers were they would try and get with them and when they turn them down I just stopped getting friends.” I shrugged.
”What do you do for work.” I asked.
”I’m a pharmaceutical scientist.” She shrugged but I had no idea what that was.
”What’s that?” I asked.
”I make medicine. I have a lab downstairs and I make medicine that normal people can’t afford. Like if you sold work I would be your cook basically.” She shrugged.
”Damn.” I said.
”Yeah I use to work for the government but they were trying to make shit that would kill people and I couldn’t deal with it. I mean the money was great but it’s not why I got into this field. I wanna help people.” She said. It was honestly the best thing I heard anyone say. I helped her out and got her dressed. I laid her down and told her to go to sleep and that I would have her son.
