Feminism? Why is it such a buzz word? Why don't some people view it as a good thing? We discussed this in class today, and I realized that there are a lot of preconceptions and notions we carry about gender roles, almost inadvertently. Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche puts this perfectly in her TED Talks, so these are stemming from her ideas or statements but in a sense, we do groom men and women to act a certain way, just like she said. I think sometimes it's hard to take a step back and ask yourself: Why do I do the things I do, or think the way I think? Am I just a product of my circumstances and societal norms, or will I rise up and think for myself? What does that look like?717Please respect copyright.PENANACcAfKu5vvB
