"So the party is on, right guys?" Alan asked his colleagues.
Raj was still on his seat having a look at the data of the latest poll conducted by their manager regarding the problems faced by their customers said nothing and was glued to the screen. He was like the mommy of the group, always seemed tensed and to not know how to actually live a life.
"Of course it is, what do you mean?? We have been invited to represent the honour of our company. Plus it's been time our boss has given us any leaves for the overtime we all did last month." Said Clive who was quite bold and nonchalant. A perfect combination for being a party animal. " Oh by the way... When was the party again?" He asked again
"30th of February, 2000 of nevery " said Rafiq from the last table of the row.
"Ha ha how funny is Rafi? Are you too invited for this gala?" Asked Clive
"Ofcourse man, I got the email too. Why did you think a Muslim wouldn't be invited to any occasion in this country? You racist dumbass."
Rafiq said as he came to the common table where Clive and Alan were sitting
Alan gave Rafiq a high five on this one.
"Ok good so now it is the four of us. And for the final time the event is on the 21st of February." Said Alan " Raj you are in for this right?"
Raj just nodded his head still staring at the screen with a straight face.
"Oh comeone Raj, why do you have to be such a work rat. Have a break." Said Clive as he pulled out the plug of the CPU from the socket and swung it right in front of his face.
"Put it back NOW. There is something called as deadline bozo, which this entire office knows you have never heard of neither you have adhered to it." He said in a rough tone.
One thing about him he doesn't like to be disturbed when he is locked in on any task. If bothered he humbles the other person with words no one expected of.
"And anyways this work is what everyone would give a shit about, even the boss. Unlike your nanny's kitty party mate." He said as he snatched back the plug
"Ouch...." Rafiq said giggling with Alan
"Whatever " Clive said rolling is eyes
"Is this really that important Raj?" Alan asked
"Yes. This would help our hotels provide a better service to the customers living ." Replied Raj
That's right they all were the part of The Tangarine, one of the largest hotel chains of Barcelona. The event which they were about to go to was the annual fest calling upon the major hotel chains for presenting statistics, new technologies and share experiences for budding chains to develope.
"Ok so Mr. Lawson is the chief guest of this event." Said Alan reading from a new email sent almost instantly " Guys we need to leave our mark so that he invests in our hotels around the world."
"You mean THE MR. LAWSON?? Damn that bastard has finally left his home huh. He is 100% a fraud I must say. No wonder where he gets the money and all the fun you know." Said Clive
"Come on man. He does charity too. And besides we don't give a fuck how he is. We care about the money he puts in our company right guys?. Just imagine we pull him into our list of sponsors. Our boss would definitely give us all a rise immediately." Said Rafiq as he packed his stuff ready to leave.
"Raj you doing overtime?" Alan said as he was about to leave.
All he did was nod and got back to his work.
