A curse, a lustful thirst to wet parched lips,

Is this belief that we have agency.

In light of the hardship that is this world.

Oppressing all is this current of fate,

Swirling is every soul in her whirlpool.

Lingers deep in our minds, near its center.

It warms our hearts with familiar whispers

Of hope for days when we are in control.
