Soon, it was Saturday, of course it was, they met one another in Smilespark again.
“Time really does fly like an arror, huh? Short time no see!” joked Qrent, “Did you guys watch the news last night? Heard that the villains went around doing evil stuff again.”
“Yeah and they were wearing masks. But to me their physique looked like Bremen,” replied Aerbice.
“Uhm.. I, uh, heard that they robbed the bank and, and uh, burned it down afterwards,” Karu added, “and my father got mad at me because I didn’t protect his money in there.”
“Oh hey guys! Sup! Sorry. Lil late today. Got busy stalking my neighbour,” Track joined as he munched on his burrito roll, “Alright then, Imma just find the place real quick.”
Tracking: Furthest UNO card mentioned yesterday
Distance: 47 kilometers
Transport: private car, borrowed from a friend
Estimated time: 35 minutes
Location: Mansion Blueside, Crescent Beach, Northeast Smilestown.
“So I’ve located it. I borrowed a car from my friend earlier. We can drive there. Who has a driving license? Cause I don’t.”
“Is that the car?” Karu asked in a quiet voice.
“Yeah. Right there. I got over here in that.”
“B-but you don’t have a license. How did you drive here?”
“Is it illegal?”
“Of course.”
“Is stalking my neighbours illegal? See? It doesn’t matter as long as they don’t catc- Somebody drive that car away now! I’ll unlock it!”
Red and blue lights flashed in their direction, followed by a piercing siren. The car doors flung open and everyone immediately rolled in. Karu sat straight down the the left backseat with Karde on her lap, while Tradif took the middle and Qrent the right. Ryla plopped down the front seat and Runice took the driver’s. She immediately sped away at 80km/h, which was 30km/h faster than the speed limit. The sirens got louder and louder by each second, and the car drove faster and faster.
The cops were near, but they had to get to their destination. Runice slammed on the accelerator and flew the car over the gates of the park then made a hell lot of spins and finally disappeared into the bushes. She continued to drive, drifting across the open street and somehow avoided bumping into every car in sight. The three in the trunk were stuck wondering what was happening out there and the twins were clinging on the handles on the ceiling for their lives. Karu was holding Karde’s waist tightly and Karde grabbed her hands and squeezed them.
They soon reached Beachside Large Lane, and the cops stopped pursuing them.
“Uhm Runice? What the-”
“I’ll explain, Ryla. So I know how to throw the car over fences and then make it spin. The cops won’t dare come near us when the car is spinning. It damages their car and deducts their payment. While we were spinning, we secretly went over to the bushes, like the earth spinning and orbiting around the sun at the same time.”
“How did you avoid those cars then?”
“I’m good.”
“But you’re 15! You don’t have a license!”
“Correction: I’m 16, yes I don’t have a license, but I sneak out using my dad’s car a lot. They’re too busy at the farm to notice.”
“Who has a license here?”
Silence…
“Ugh! Oh wait. Where’s Track, Chris and Aerbice?”
3 voices shouted from somewhere at the back of the car, “Track’s hiding here to avoid the cops! We’re here because there’s no space in front!”
Runice yelled back at them, “Didn’t you say nothing’ll happen as long as you don’t get caught?”
“Well, I hit too many trash bins and fences on the way so they kinda went after me.”
