For generations, the world's heroes and villains have trained their children separately.
The prestigious Hero Academy prepares future protectors of society, teaching courage, teamwork, and justice. Across the city, the feared Villain Academy trains future masterminds, conquerors, and rebels, teaching strategy, ambition, and power.

The two schools have been rivals for as long as anyone can remember. Everything changes when 14-year-old Aria Nightingale receives acceptance letters from both. As the daughter of the legendary hero Solaris and the infamous villain Nocturne, Aria has spent her entire life caught between two worlds.

To prevent a public conflict between the academies, a historic arrangement is created: for the first time ever, a student will be enrolled in both schools simultaneously. The announcement causes an uproar. Many students at Hero Academy believe Aria's villain heritage makes her dangerous. Many students at Villain Academy see her heroic upbringing as a weakness. Teachers from both schools quietly compete for her loyalty, convinced that she will eventually choose a side.

But Aria has no interest in becoming exactly what anyone expects.
