Since I last got out of bed?

I don't even remember anymore.

When was the last time I ate a proper meal?

...

I'm out of water too.

Should I order some?

...

Never mind.

I don't even know where my phone is.

Sigh...

Would anyone even notice if I disappeared?

...

Probably not.

The apartment was silent.

So was my life.

I curled up beneath the blanket, pulling it over my face as another wave of tears escaped my eyes.

No matter how much I cried...

It never seemed to get any easier.

Then—

Ding Dong.

The doorbell.

I stayed still.

Maybe whoever it was would leave.

Ding Dong.

It rang again.

I wiped my face with the sleeve of my hoodie and slowly dragged myself out of bed.

Each step toward the door felt heavier than the last.

I unlocked it.

Turned the handle.

Opened the door.

...

I froze.
