"We can't keep doing this," Dawn said as she looked around the club at all of the leather clad bodies that were moving and grinded to the beat or having sex in the shadows. Shadow Nights was packed with goths and those who looked like they had advanced degrees in murder.
Dawn and her brother didn't fit in. Sure they wore all black and looked goth but the way they carried themselves. It was obvious. Looking around she started to nurse the drink in front of her the liquid sliding down her throat and leaving a tingling trail of fire. The burning felt good made her believe what was happening around her wasn't a dream.
"We have no choice," came the reply that Dawn had been waiting for from her twin brother, Twilight.
She watched him nurse his vodka in silence as she nursed her own. There could be something said for what happened around them. No matter where they went people died so they always stayed on the move rarely stopping and taking breaks like they were now.
"I'm tired of it all."
"I know but it's necessary."
Dawn tilted her head in acknowledgement but said nothing. She knew it was necessary but that did not mean she liked it. All the constant moving. It annoyed her to no end, never being able to have friends more more than a few days. Sighing Dawn took another sip of her drink finishing it off then signaled for another which was put in front of her almost at once. The waitress looked at her brother and smiled. The woman had on about thirty pounds of makeup on her face and her dress was that of a prostitute's—a leather too tight number. Twilight looked at the girl and with a tight lipped grin sent her about her way not caring about her pout.
"You make even the pretty girls weep brother." Dawn said laughing as she poked at her brother. It was a way to relieve some tension but all it did was make it worse or so she thought until her sibling laughed at her attempt to lighten the mood.
"Well I am gay Dawn," he replied chuckling as the waitress returned with a another drink for him in time to hear his statement about being gay . "Sorry for hitting on you then if that is the case," the leather clad woman huffed before turning and storming away . Twilight just shook his head having a vague feeling the woman was a homophobe. He couldn't stand the fact that people couldn't just accept people loving who they loved he wasn't hurting anybody, well, not yet anyway.
"Come on let's go Dawn," the dark haired male said standing up and making his way across the crowded dance floor to the baffled look of his golden haired twin sister. Dawn sighed and stood up putting a fifty on the table , the last of their money, before following after her brother before something happened and with the way her twin was in one of his moods something was going to happen , something always happened when they felt high emotion. Death always happened always.
Finally catching up to her twin she saw that he had stopped and was surrounded by a couple of drunk burly men from across the street . They were trying to gang up on the much taller slender male but one thing Dawn knew about her brother, if she didn't know anything else about the male, was that he was always packing some kind of weapon. She was proven right when out of no where Twilight pulled out a dagger and stabbed all the five men in their stomachs before just walking off to screams and curses.
"You shouldn't have messed with my twin," she said sweetly to them a kind of satisfied grin on her face as she ran past to follow after her brother once more. "Twi slow down," she yelled as she finally caught up to the long limbed male so they could head back to their camp in the woods.
