Previously posted on fictionpress, this poem was an assignment for my creative writing: poetry class. The assignment was to take something we found outside and write a poem. After spending ten minutes trying to catch a lizard, I was interrupted by an street preacher who decided to come and preach damnation at all of us sinning college students. Assignment target confirmed.
