About the Book: Flame of the Empress follows a young boy named Talynn and his best friend Mavence who live in a medieval fantasy world filled with elves, dwarves, imps, and fairies. After leaving their tiny village in the middle of nowhere, Talynn and Mavence set out for Albustone City, the capitol of the Aedonian Empire. After meeting the captivating young empress, the pair resolve to join the Empress's Guard. But only the best of the best can join.
Mavence begins training to become a knight and Talynn studies to become a mage. Despite the inability to use fire magic and almost no talent in anything whatsoever, Talynn vows to become the strongest fire mage in the land. As they travel, their growing party must face a rising threat to the peace of the empire.

About the Author: Greetings, my name is Jerry Aph. This is the first piece of writing I've ever posted on a public website! I'm neither an experienced writer nor an experienced reader, so please bear with me as I attempt to write this story.
Flame of the Empress is a homage to the books, movies, and shows that I loved growing up. Stories like The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Naruto filled me with a sense of wonder and excitement. The worst part about them is that either their stories, for the most part, have ended. I want to recapture that magic, that inspiration that these stories gave to me while also telling a unique story of my own.
The chapters are a bit longer than most books I see on here, but I feel that it is necessary for setting the pace I want. Each chapter should feel like its own small adventure that grows with the overall journey of the book, not like a sitcom with commercial breaks every five minutes.
