一位緬甸女華僑在上世紀四五十年代，由走避戰禍以至後來回國參與建設，邂逅了同是緬甸歸僑的丈夫，走過差不多半個神州大陸，歷經大躍進、文化大革命的折騰，轉了一個大圈，三十年後輾轉回到初到之地香港，但是始終留不往，十多廿年後再跟隨女兒移居他鄉終老的故事。
