CAN YOU IMAGINE? - Deadly Forest

I wake up on the hard muddy ground next to where a lake is. It’s cold, very cold. Pretty dark too. I get up and brush the dirt off my jeans. Where is everyone? Why am I in a forest?

I walk over to the lake and look into the water, where I see a blurry reflection of my face. I look different. I don’t look like myself...who am I?

A little boat is floating down the river. I jump onto the boat, and as it flows down the river I see animals; from tigers, to lions, to elephants and monkeys. They seem to be friendly. Why are they here though? Why am I here?

Do I have a purpose of being here? I’m so confused. I’ve just woken up in a dark forest all alone. It’s so quiet, all I hear is the sound of the water flowing and trees rustling in the wind.

I see a silhouette of human figure, standing near a tree. It kinda looks like my little sister.

“Brooke?”.

I called out. I see the figure slowly walking towards me.

“Oh hello, Ellie. Do you need a hand to get out of the boat?”.

She puts her hand out to me. I take her hand and she helps me out.

”Why are we here, Brooke?”,

I ask worriedly. She turns to me with a deep glare.

“I’m not allowed tell you...turn around”.

”Why?”.

”Just...do...it”, she says forcefully.

I’m scared. Why is my sister being so weird. Why is everything different. I don’t want to be here.

”Brooke, wh-“.

Just before I could even finish my sentence I felt a sharp shooting pain that went from my chest down to my toes. I looked down to see a knife plunged into my chest. My sister stabbed me. She pushes me to the ground. I let out a big scream which I could hear echo through the forest, but no one could help me, nor hear me, as there was still no one to be seen for probably miles.

I see her standing in front of me looking down at me. Her face is starting to get blurry as my eyes are slowing shutting.

I wake up to my sister screaming from her bedroom. I ran through as quick as I could,

”Yeah, I just had a nightmare”.
