During noon time, as per his estimation after looking outside the windows and taking into consideration the position of the shadows of the foliage, he walked back into the locker room. Richard’s locker had been left as it was, with the blade hanging after the group had been unable to decide what to do with it. Adrian walked to the locker and looked inside.
The spring mechanism was fairly simple. The blade was meant to spring out when the door was opened and it had done its job marvelously. Their host must have known Richard’s height in detail to have positioned the blade in such a manner that it would strike his neck.
They had all checked their lockers in detail to see if there was any hidden dangers inside. There were none which meant the others had to be extra careful in everything they would do the coming day.
With nothing else left to see, Adrian walked out of the locker room and headed for his room.
A figure watched from the shadows as Adrian headed up the stairs. The person smiled. Would this detective finally complete the game that no other preceding detectives up until now had been able too? A puzzle game that seemed complex to everyone on the surface but was really simple when all the clues provided from the beginning – from the moment they had woken up bound to those chairs – were considered.
The person had spied in on Adrian's room. All the notes Adrian had scribbled on the papers provided to him had been read and carefully analyzed and the figure had concluded that he was the one out of them all that was the closest to solving the puzzle.
But could he really do it?
Only time would tell. And this detective only had four more days. The figure shook its head sadly at the thought of having to kill the detective.
But rules, especially ones that you had created yourself, had to be followed.
