Penana: How to Get Around - Editing Stories After Publishing, And Different Collaborators

Under your publications, you can find all the stories you've written, and can click the desired one that you wish to edit. From there you should be at the introduction:

From here you can see that it looks nearly exactly like the first screen that came up when you were asked to title and summarize your story! You can do almost anything here you did the first time: pick genres, collaborators, etc. However, you can't change the cover here, you need to save your changes here first before you can change the cover. There will be a button next to the title of your story that says "Add Story Cover" click it, choose your cover, and you're done! And, if you ever want to switch it, no problem!771Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ6YkHHlbTdT

Now, I've mentioned collaborators a lot, and a lot of people have wanted me to explain what it is collaborators do. There are 3 main types of collaborators: Idea Contributors, Beta Readers, and Co-Writers.

Idea Contributors do what it says on the tin: in Story Plan, they can go on the private forums and help you find the write ideas for your story, make that villain you've been itching to bust out better...it's generally helpful, if you don't know where you're going with something. In drafts, they can also give you feedback in the comments section before you post something.

Beta Readers, if you come from Wattpad or similar sites, you might know about. They help you find plot holes, grammatical errors, and in certain cases, cultural differences might be resolved this way as well. On Penana, they have the power to edit Drafts, but not create them. Always handy if you're like me, and typos either don't come on at all or appear in droves, depending on the day and time. (I sometimes write at midnight because my brain just won't shut up in attampts to quiet it.) They also have access to the story plan forums.

Cowriters have just as much control over the drafts and forums as you do (to the best of my knowledge). They can create and edit any draft, including ones of yours. They can post comments, talk about issues, and walk with you on this amazing journey that is your collaborated story.

Choose all of your collaborators carefully, and make sure that they're constructive rather than destructive. A good collaborator will improve upon flaws, or gently point out mistakes, not rub your nose in it (unless, of course, you ask them to).
