李長命自漢朝生存到如今。今天天氣十分寒冷只有数度左右，但李長命並不感到寒意，只因他在多倫多家中有暖氣，他看著窗外想起多年舊事。在漢朝時他是尊儒派大臣，他深信儒學天下漢朝會千秋萬代。之後經過大大小小不同朝代，有時做臣有時做民，當過大官，作過强盜。
儒學、道學、彿學、科學...各式各樣的學説他也心信過熱情過，但各思想理想也經不起他長命及人性多變的考驗。
好在他有無盡的時間，可以慢慢了解。
