Two weeks. Two weeks since iv'e talked to my parents. Yeah, they've yelled at me for being to loud or making the driver wait to take me to school, but they can't even say "how was you day"? my gills and tail where still damp from my shower and hour before, which was not helping my mood as i walked down the hallway towards the door i heard my dad getting mad at an employee over the phone. i avoided that doorway so i didn't get yelled at.
i walked out of the door to the mansion and to the car waiting in the driveway. "good morning Otis." i said as i slipped into the car. "good morning master Ace" he replied. Otis is my butler, driver, and my best friend in the mansion. i can tell him everything, and he is just a really good friend.
when i arrived i heard whispers from the other students. this was pretty usual seeing as im "the rich kid". i found Willow in the hallway and walked up to him. "hey."i said. Willow looked up and his face lit up. "your here! what took you so long?" Willow was my only friend, and has been for years. he was a yellow, unlike Ace who was a grey. "sorry, i woke up late." Willow laughed and replied, "of course you did" "Hey! you say that when you can't even get to class on time!" Ace teased.
The first bell rang which signaled class was about to start. i walked Willow to math, he didn't really care if he was late. i zoned out as he walked across the hall. I don't really want to go back home. he though to himself. i'm gonna walk in that door and get yelled at. dad will probably be mad and i bet moms at the bar.
the rest of the day was pretty uneventful. i longed to be with Willow, but i also didn't. there was this weird feeling every time i was with him, i loved it but also hated it. could it be... no, no way. he's my best friend. that's it. i shook my head with frustration and confusion.
Ace met up with Willow at the end of the day, but Willow didn't seem very happy, scared almost. "hey, are you okay?" i said, worried. Willow seemed like he was looking for words. "..."
