It was just a white lie. A little fib, to ease the consequences and to ease the conscious. But white lies fade fast when one's hands are colored crimson. Cry it wasn't me! all you want, the evidence is damning. There's blood on your hands. Literally. And it doesn't matter how hard you scrub, or how clean the underside of your fingernails look. The truth is out, and judgement day is coming.
