As soon as she could no longer see his burnt caramel hair or the hungry glint in his emerald eye, she turned around and raised her fist. 'Need someone to put those pretty fists to real work?' Slurred a man from the end of the dark alley. God's, she hated drunks. Especially when they tried to flirt. Even more so the ones who failed. Joni began to saunter back into The Djelle and instigated a very time saving argument, relying heavily on the use of her middle finger.
As soon as she entered the pub, in the corner of her eye, she spotted a monstrously tall man with long white hair, his shining hazelnut brown horns half-heartedly hidden away in the tangles, walking towards her.

Oh, did she hate him.
She hated his bitter- coffee eyes, his cream hair, the way it fell over his eyes in waves; despised the playful smirk that constantly inhabited his face, his painfully easy manner; his strength, his weakness. his arrogance. she despised his laugh, loathed the soft tinkering of his cry. she'd always hated him, everything about him repulsed her.
But, oh! Did she love him.
'Og det er det?' And it is? The standard greeting in Jelki. Luuk offered her a perfectly manicured hand.
Joni ignored him. She walked past him, past the table she had been playing at not 10 minutes before, past the confused drunks, the luckless gamblers, past Alexi. She stopped.

Baz. God of Gambling. He was never a leader of The Rabbits, the gang who ran the Djelle. He was never even a member, yet every actual member, including Static, answered unquestionably. Many stupid and proud people didn't understand why he was so respected, didn't know who he was and did question him. Those where usually the people who "left". mysteriously. And always in the middle of the night. He never let anybody get away with disrespect. Except for Joni. Joni laughed, shook her head and looked down at the floor, then murderously back up at Baz. 'Oh, no. Oh, no. Whatever torturous endeavour you have lined up for me, allow me to answer in advance: absolutely not in a million years .'
Baz paused his rummaging through the pockets of his jacket. 'Could I change your mind with 15 million kurk?'
'What's the job?'
He rolled his eyes -so easily swayed by money- and pulled out a tatted map. 'Look,, He said. 'We're here, I need you to fetch a certain someone for me here, in Restige. She'll be waiting at a hotel in Eanen. All you need to do is pick your crew, sail out there and bring her safely back.'
'Who is "she"?'
' No one important, and it wont matter once you have your money. We have a deal?'
They shook.
