Meteor and I return at the same time as Constellation. Star and Nova are waiting for us. Constellation wanders off as if in a trance.
“Man, she’s got it bad.” I whistle.
“Oh yeah!” Nova affirms.
“Huh?”
“Oh, Meteor,” I say. “For such a romantic guy, you don’t know much about love. She got herself a date and he kissed her.”
“Oh. Lucky her.”
Star chuckles. “Yeah. Now I feel less bad about the dance party, Nova.” She nods her head thoughtfully.
“Speaking of dates, where did you two teleport off to? I haven't seen you all day!”
“Oh, um,” I blush. “We... we went to a deserted Hawaiian beach, found an abandoned pier, and Meteor kissed me at sunset.” I say breathlessly, my words completely unintelligible “We need to go to bed. Long day of work tomorrow, you know! Come on, Meteor!” I drag him to his room. “You should really get to sleep. I don’t want a grumpy boyfriend.” I blow a kiss to him as I walk to my chamber. I change and collapse onto my mattress. The next few days will be torture.

I was true to my word last night and I called Michael. He said he had a surprise for this morning. I’m very excited. I teleport to Central Park, where Michael is waiting with a limo!
“Hey! Ready for this? We are going to… Broadway!”
“Cool! Oh, on the way, can I tell you something?”
“Sure! Always, Constellation.” We clamber into the limousine and he closes the divider. “Now, what did you want to tell me?”
“Well, I think I can trust you, so I have a very big secret. Like, massive.” I take a deep breath. “I’m an alien.”
“What? An alien? Are you here to invade Earth? Have you been using me? What are you here for? Nuclear launch codes?”
“Hey! Slow down. I’m from the planet Scallanos. I’m a Scallonian. We are only here for a,” I sigh, “burger recipe. I have not been using you. I hardly have a role in the mission. I do love you.” I pause. “Do you believe me? Are you mad?”
“No. I’m not mad, and I do believe you. We just can’t tell anyone. The crazy scientists will grab you and study you to high heavens. I’m glad you told me.” He kisses me, and I feel a hidden meaning behind it. And I’m right. “When you leave,” he whispers, “take me with you.”227Please respect copyright.PENANAaJTHFQDy7R
