Four months later, near the end of June, I start to wake up feeling really weak and sick every morning. Then, on the 23rd, I get up and look in the mirror. I pull up my tank-top and run my hand on my belly. My slightly round belly. I think of how I could possibly have a round belly.
"Could I be gaining weight?" I ask myself.
No. Can't be because I don't gain weight no matter how much I eat. Then, I remember something I forgot. I go back to February 2031 on my calendar. I check the days and realize I didn't have my monthly that month.
"Well, that's no biggie. It's just one month." I shrug it off and then check the next month. No monthly in March either. I check April and May. I gasp. No monthly in either of those two months either. I literally scream.
Suddenly, my door flies open.
"Why are you screaming, sweetie?"
"Mom...."
"What?"
"I haven't had my monthly for the past four months, including February."
Her eyes go as big as saucers. She leaves the room and five minutes later, she's back with her purse in hand and fully dressed.
"Here, just throw a t-shirt on and some sandals. I'm taking you to the New Life center."
I do as she says and follow her outside. I get in the passenger seat and put on my seatbelt.
About twelve minutes later, we arrive at the Life Center and we go inside. I sit down in a chair as mom goes to the front counter. Ten minutes later, she comes and sits beside me. She hands me a paper and tells me that I need to give it to the doctor when we go back.

An hour later, we're at home and mom is talking to dad in the kitchen while I sit at the table.
"Yes, I understand that, but, Andrew, she's pregnant. The doctor said it's possibly twins. They don't know yet."
"I think I might know who the father is though. There's only one male she's been close enough to for this to happen. And I guess it's a good thing that she's already graduated from high school. Or her life would probably be ruined."
"Well, who is that male then?"
"Count Dracula."
Mom looks towards me and I look at the table.
"And, Rosalina, most likely she didn't have any control over it. He's got the strength of twenty men and he is one of the most powerful vampires in the world. Heck, he's king of the vampires."
"But how on earth could she have conceived a baby with a vampire? I thought vampires weren't able to reproduce sexually."
"That's been said a lot, but I guess it's been proved wrong."
"Should we tell Dracula, then? I mean..."
"Most likely, he's not going to believe us if we tell him that Zoe is pregnant with his child. He's probably going to think us crazy." Dad sighs. "The best person I know you can talk to is my sister."
Mom sighs. "Okay, alright. But what if the child is a vampire? That could kill her. I mean, think about Bella from Twilight. She had to be changed into a vampire."
"Yeah, but if Zoe does die from the baby, she's not going to come back. Dracula's not able to drink someone's blood and bring them back from the dead."
"Well, then, I don't know what to do! Other than make up something that will make him come over here so he can find out the truth!"
"You really don't have to worry about it," I say softly.
They both turn to me at the same time.
"What?"
"I said you don't have to worry about it. And also, it's not that I didn't have any control over it. I let him do it. I didn't think this would happen." I get up. "So it's basically my fault."
I turn and walk out of the kitchen. I go back to my bedroom and stay in there for the rest of the month, coming out every now and then to get something to eat or drink.
