God why did we have to break up before this match? Luckily Lycian had decided not to go or else this would have been weird. I was honestly hoping they would come. So I came to these basketball championships by myself. It was expensive for these tickets anyways. I guess I did what I had to do for love? It was kind of useless now I slightly regretted it. I kept on looking at the seat next to me in pain realising who should have been sitting in it. I even started to imagine they were sitting there with their braided purple hair and chestnut coloured skin. Once or twice I looked over at the wrong chair at this poor Asian guy. He also seemed to be here himself. Maybe he was also in my situation? He also had a seat empty next to him. But unlike me he seemed happy. Maybe if I started a conversation I would feel better. Making friends was always great.

“I go for the red team too. They are actually my mothers favourite team. I guessed her tastes got passed down to me? But I’ve been barracking for them ever since I was about five. Oh, sorry you probably don’t want to hear my life story do you!” I rambled.

“It’s a bit of both actually. My father was French and my mother was a fan of the book series. So they managed to reach something they liked with me. My father wanted a French while my mom wanted something more western. I don’t really know how they ended up with it. What a bout you? Akira isn’t exactly the most common name,” I explained and then asked.

Our conversation continued for a while and soon this quarter was over. Sometimes the conversation was cut short by us cheering but it was still nice. It took my mind off Lycian for a bit. As we waited they turned on the kiss cam.

I had always wanted to be chosen for this with Lycian but apparently they weren’t a fan of us. Though it was never too much of a big deal.

I watched as others got chosen and how some had sweet kisses. I loved when the older couples were chosen and they just looked so happy. I wished I could have had that with Lycian.

As I watched faces pass by suddenly mine was on that big screen. It was me and Akira. I guess I couldn’t help it. People were cheering and I was getting over a breakup. I was doing impulsive things.

But I had cut him off by pressing my face to his. It was short our lips barely even touched. But as soon as it happened a loud cheer erupted around us and I heard the presenter say something about going for it.

After it ended we just stared at each other. He was surprised and so was I. What had I just done? I didn’t know, but I knew I had to apologise.

I’m just ugh there’s a lot going on and I was jealous and you see-“ I was trying to apologise and explain what happened but all Akira did was put his finger to my lips.
